  • When using an HVLP Sprayer, many paints will need to be diluted or thinned. Water based paints should be thinned with water, whereas oil based paints may need to be thinned with a type of lacquer thinner.
  • Safety First! Always wear a paint respirator and safety glasses when spraying.
  • Using a fine grit sandpaper to lightly sand pre-painted surfaces, will ensure a good adhesive of the new paint.
  • Prepare your surface for best results. Ensure your surface is free of dirt, dust, grime and rust before spraying.
  • You won’t get a lot of overspray with your PaintWIZ, but it is still advisable to mask or cover surrounding surfaces.
  • Cut down on clogs and lumps in your paint by using a mesh paint strainer.
  • A funnel makes it easy to pour paint into your cup.
  • Use an old kitchen handheld mixer to help mix your paint properly.
  • Keep handy a small brush to quickly clean up spills and the rim of the cup after every pour.
